Russian President Vladimir Putin has relieved Russia's Permanent Representative to the European Union and the European Atomic Energy Community "Euratom" Vladimir Chizhov from his duties today.
According to TASS, according to the presidential decree published on the official website of legal information, Vladimir Alekseevich Chizhov was relieved of the duties of the permanent representative of the Russian Federation to the European Union and the European Atomic Energy Community in Brussels.
Chizhov announced earlier this month that he would leave Brussels due to the end of his 17-year mission.
It is noteworthy that Chizhov, born in 1953, previously worked in senior positions in various departments of the Russian Foreign Ministry, and is a specialist in relations with European countries.
