Al-Mayadin city council in Deir Ezzor countryside started implementing a project to replace the main sewage network in Al-Furat Street in the city in cooperation with the United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF).
City Council Chairman Thaer Al-Ali told SANA reporter that the project works include replacing the old concrete network with a polyethylene pipe network of 460 meters in length and 80 cm in diameter, in addition to cement manholes and rain drainage points, and re-laying the asphalt shirt.
Al-Ali indicated that the workshops are intensifying work in order to complete the work as soon as possible, given that the project is located on the main street of the city market, which witnesses heavy traffic.
