Imagine for Margo organized its 11th Kids Without Cancer race on Sunday, September 25, at Parc de Saint-Cloud. This solidarity race aims to

€2,160,000.

This is the sum finally collected at the end of the Kids Without Cancer race.

This solidarity race, organized by the Imagine for Margo association for the benefit of research against pediatric cancers, took place on Sunday morning at the Parc de Saint-Cloud.

Eleventh of the name, this edition was launched by its godmother of the day, the Republican Guard.

4,500 runners and walkers were registered in one of the three events (5 km walk, 5 and 10 km run).

"In total, we have 5,790 committed, the 1,290 other runners being connected everywhere in France", specified last Thursday Patricia Blanc, the president of Imagine for Margo.

Each of them had to raise at least 200 euros in donations (100 euros for minors and students), which explains the importance of the sums collected.

"This race is an opportunity to collect donations but also to promote our cause because we are counting on the participants to talk about it around them, to their families, friends, colleagues...", underlines the leader.

Five funded European research programs

More than two million had also been collected last year.

The current number will continue to climb as the collection continues on the association's website until October 31.

Pediatric cancer research will also benefit from the money collected from the other races organized that same Sunday in Luxembourg and Belgium, then in Italy two weeks later.

Not to mention the 220,000 euros collected at La Défense, last May, on another race of the organization.

“100% of the donations collected thanks to the Children without Cancer 2022 race will be allocated to research programs resulting from the European call for projects Fight Kids Cancer”, undertakes the organization.

Like last year, the sums will be shared between five research programs.

This year, the choice fell on two projects concerning the prevention of the relapse of neuroblastoma – a cancer affecting young children –, two programs on leukemia and a study to secure innovative therapies administered outside of clinical trials.

Sunday September 25, from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m., at the Parc de Saint-Cloud.
