The Zenobia Association for Women in Australia, in cooperation with the Queen Victoria Center for Women, held its first plastic exhibition entitled “Amal”, with the participation of seven Syrian artists who presented many of their paintings, and in the presence of many important social figures.
The association's president, Norma Medawar, presented a presentation of the participating artists and the displayed paintings, and also expressed her thanks to the attendance, which encourages the artists to submit more artistic and creative works.
In turn, the Vice President of the Society, Christine Bardwell, praised the efforts of the Queen Victoria Center for Women, for its assistance in the establishment of this exhibition, in addition to the creativity of the Syrian community members in all areas of working life in Australia.
On the sidelines of the exhibition, a party was held during which some famous Syrian foods were presented, while the attendees listened to songs from the original Syrian heritage on the melodies of the oud by the Syrian musician Hossam Karam.
It is noteworthy that the Zenobia Association for Women was established in 2021 by a group of Syrian and Australian women, in order to introduce the Syrian civilization, culture, experiences, and progress, as well as to help Syrian women in particular, and Arab women in general, to integrate into Australian society through educational and awareness lectures.
