Who really defends the middle classes;

which party best understands your needs;

what tax measures are the most effective to alleviate the daily loss of millions of citizens due to the unbridled rise in prices.

In the entanglement of the Wealth Tax, caused by the PP, or better, by some of the autonomous communities governed by that party, the debate on fiscal policy has been adulterated, as the data demonstrate and independent organizations describe.

Once the partisan noise subsides, the figures and the needs of the State emerge to satisfy the citizens.

The national PP, led by Alberto Núñez Feijóo, knows that attacking the PSOE for creating a tax for large fortunes has a limited impact on very broad social layers.

The important thing is the IRPF,

popular sources point out.

That tax is the one that matters as it affects the middle and lower classes, where a lot of the PP and PSOE votes are concentrated.

The hare was launched last week by the Andalusian president, Juan Manuel Moreno Bonilla: bonus of 100% of the Wealth Tax.

From then on, the dialectic of rich and poor, advanced by Pedro Sánchez, increased.

To the elimination of the Wealth Tax, the central government opposed the announcement of a tax on large fortunes that it denied a quarter ago to its partners of United We Can.

This contradiction has been resolved argumentatively with the urgent need to face a changing reality.

In this discussion between parties, and within the Government itself, rectilinear positions should not be expected or that they will last for a long time.

The popular ones ask for lower taxes on the rich, the middle classes, the lower classes and the workers,

Wherever Feijóo goes, his main speech is about taxes, without going into details.

Last weekend in Melilla, at the closing of the PP congress of the autonomous city, he joined several concepts, not necessarily in harmony.

"Pedro Sánchez wants to end the rich and I want there to be no poor because of the policies he makes," said the popular leader, far from enjoying the fact that some of his communities have subsidized Wealth Tax .

The true statement that this tax exists in almost no country is as true as the fact that it is generalized, with other names, the taxation of wealth.

Nor is the PP now to maintain the brawl over a new tax for energy companies, referring to extraordinary profits, which have come to them due to the tragedy of Russia's war against Ukraine.

The attacks on Sánchez for this announcement will be diluted in a more general criticism, since the coalition government will not do anything different from what the European Union marks.

Some decisions in which Spain will have an influential opinion.

There is no going back on the Government's newly minted proposal to create a tax for large fortunes.

All income is necessary, they argue in the Executive, but it is not only that.

Sánchez's Cabinet wants to establish a message in society about who is its main cause for concern: the weak or very weak economically, and all those who have to function with limitations in daily life.

The Government ensures that these measures, still to be closed, do not imply entering a path of radicalism or extremism.

That is where the PP is going to place him, whether or not that accusation is justified by the concrete measures.

For the tax on the rich, it does not seem that there will be a great social complaint, nor for the surcharges on companies for their extraordinary profits, concludes the PP.

The lowering of personal income tax is not on the page of the Government's priorities, as it is in need of resources to attend to so many sectors affected by the consequences of the war in Ukraine.

The extension of the measures adopted three months ago are a sign of where the Executive wants to lead, but everything is insufficient.

The recommendations of the IMF, the ECB and the OECD on the advisability of directing aid to the most vulnerable sectors and avoiding measures that affect everyone equally have not yet been complied with.

The reductions in VAT on gas and electricity are for all citizens, as well as aid to reduce the price of fuel.

That will not change, but it will coexist with aid to those most in need.

For that you need to collect.

It is not communism, "it is social democracy", they point out in the Government, very comfortable in not failing to mention "the rich" and their obligation to contribute and make a solidarity effort in favor of the middle and lower classes.

To the same ones that the PP cites as a priority.
