The decision comes after the declaration of the former Valencian vice president last week in which she ratified her request to her subordinates to find out what had happened

The investigating judge of the case that investigates the actions of the former Valencian vice president Mónica Oltra and more than a dozen charges of the Ministry of Equality in the case of the minor under guardianship who was sexually abused by her ex-husband, has now cited as investigated two more positions of trust of the leader of Compromís.

After the extensive statement he made last week, the instructor has accused Miquel Real, who was his chief of staff and is now his replacement Aitana Mas, and Francesc Gamero, current regional secretary of the Treasury and at the time of the events also high position of the department that directed Oltra to the being the undersecretary of the same.

The decision is not final and can be appealed.

The head of Instruction 15 investigates if the Ministry tried to hide the case, if there was a lack of protection for the young woman or if a file was prepared in order to discredit her, a position that the instructor has defended in his previous writings.

For this reason, before the summer, she demanded that the Superior Court of Justice of the Valencian Community summon Oltra as being investigated and when the TSJCV accepted it, despite acknowledging that there was no "direct evidence", the leader of Compromís resigned from her positions and left the minutes

The court understood that the indications indicate that there could have been a plot to protect the politician.

In parallel, the Supreme Court must still rule on the original case, for which Luis Ramírez Icardi, Oltra's ex-partner who was an educator in the private center with places arranged with the Generalitat where the minor lived, has been sentenced.

Both in her appearance to explain her actions in Les Corts a few months after the case became known, and in the interrogation to which she was subjected last week, Oltra explained that when her ex-husband announced by telephone on August 4, 2017 that he had summoned by the Justice for a possible case of sexual abuse of a minor under guardianship, asked Real to gather information on the facts.

As Oltra narrated on the 19th, Real transferred the situation to Gamero, who was then Undersecretary of the Ministry of Equality and Inclusive Policies and who is also of the former vice president's utmost confidence.

To the questions of the judge and the prosecutor, Oltra replied that once that order was given, he disregarded the matter, in part because he focused on the care of one of his children, who was hospitalized for almost the entire month of August. a peritonitis.

In fact, in his statement, he pointed out that Real told him to focus on that family matter and reassured him by saying that the technical actions that needed to be carried out were being carried out.

Gamero remained in the council until April 2019 and later joined the Treasury.

Sources familiar with the case assure that the summons of both as investigated was expected after Oltra ratified before the judge his version of the sequence of events.

The judge's reasons

In his order, the judge points out that "it is necessary to continue the proceedings to try to clarify what happened in those days" and underlines that what was declared by Oltra in relation "to the actions that finally gave rise to the formation of an Informative File or Information Reserved” do not coincide with “the literalness” of what he declared in Les Corts in April 2021 or with what the media declared before in March of this year after expanding the number of those investigated in his ministry.

As for his statement in the Valencian parliament, according to the session diary, Oltra pointed out that as soon as he learned of the existence of a judicial procedure, something that happened "by chance", he spoke with Real.

“I contacted my chief of staff.

I gave him instructions to gather information and, logically, to demand the utmost neatness and diligence and the greatest protection of the young woman”.

In her answers as an investigator, Oltra told the judge that if a few months ago, contradicting that previous statement, she told journalists that she was the one who ordered the opening of the file, it was because of an "emotional outburst" when she understood that what was being done was unfair. was going on with the officers and staff of the department.
