Two people were killed and another injured in a fire that broke out today in a shopping center in Daejeon, central South Korea.
Yonhap news agency quoted the firefighting authorities as saying that a fire broke out in the Hyundai Premium Outlet Mall in Daejeon before the start of the center's work, killing two people and seriously injuring another who was taken to hospital in critical condition, while four employees are still missing.
And the authorities indicated that dozens of people and employees were evacuated from nearby buildings, and they believed that the cause of the accident was the explosion of an electric car that was placed on charging in a parking garage.
The authorities indicated that the fires were extinguished with the participation of more than 126 firefighters and 40 vehicles of firefighting equipment.
