Two Florida high school students died after their boat capsized when it was apparently struck by lightning while they were rowing earlier this month.
The boat carrying five rowers from the North Orlando Rowing Club, a Florida student competition club, capsized in Orlando's Fairview Lake on September 15 at 5:50 p.m., according to the Department of local fire department
According to preliminary reports, lightning struck the area at the same time, but it is not yet clear if it caused the boat to capsize.
