The Plenipotentiary Conference of the International Telecommunication Union (ITUPP22) kicked off today at the Parliament Palace in Bucharest, Romania, with the participation of the Minister of Communications and Technology, Eng. Iyad Al-Khatib and his accompanying delegation.
The conference, which will continue until the fourteenth of next month, aims to define the general policies of the International Telecommunication Union, during the period between 2024 and 2027, elect its senior executives, adopt its strategic and financial plans, and address key issues related to information and communication technology.
The conference was attended by the Head of the Syrian Mission and Chargé d'Affairs of the Syrian Embassy in Bucharest, Khaled Sharaf, and Consul Shaker Zeitoun.
