While production on the sixth season of "The Crown" was briefly halted following the death of Queen Elizabeth II, the fifth season is set to premiere on November 9.
When the popular series returns to Netflix, Imelda Staunton will take the baton as the queen, portrayed by Olivia Colman in seasons 3 and 4 of the royal drama.

According to Netflix's description, season 5 focuses on the queen "approaching the 40th anniversary of her accession."
"Departing Britannia for her annual tour of Scotland's Western Isles, she reflects on a reign that has spanned nine prime ministers, the advent of mass television and the twilight of the British Empire," reads the description.
"However, as a new decade enters the scene, the old certainties are no longer guaranteed."
