76 women trained in manual labor at Salkhad Community Center in Sweida received a set of professional supplies to establish micro-enterprises.

The supplies provided by the United Nations Population Fund, through the Nour Association for Relief and Development, under the supervision of the Directorate of Social Affairs and Labor, included work tools, raw materials for the manufacture of detergents, and woolen clothes.

In a statement to SANA reporter, Salkhad Community Center Director Wajdi Badria referred to the efforts made by the center to rehabilitate a number of women to work in micro-workshops, or to open their own projects in a way that contributes to the development of the local community and empowering women economically.

Salkhad Community Center was established in 2018, and includes clinics for internal diseases and children, and a section for psychological and social support. It also organizes courses in the fields of computer leadership, accounting, English, manual labor, sports and fitness, and it has a mobile team covering about 23 villages in Salkhad.
