Großweil – Another wet accident on the A95: A BMW driver (49) crashed into the guardrail near Großweil on Sunday (September 25).
A 49-year-old from the Weilheim-Schongau district was driving towards Munich at around 4:10 p.m. with a 5-series BMW XDrive.
According to the Weilheim traffic police, the BMW driver lost control of the vehicle immediately after the Murnau/Kochel junction, skidded and collided several times with the right-hand guardrail.
The car then came to a stop on the hard shoulder.
The BMW was severely damaged and had to be towed away.
There was a total economic loss of around 65,000 euros.
The damage to the crash barriers is estimated at around 2,500 euros.
Too fast: three accidents on the A95
A total of three traffic accidents occurred on Sunday (September 25) between 4 p.m. and 7 p.m. on the A 95. "Thank God nobody was injured in any of the accidents," says the traffic police.
However, there was a high overall property damage of at least 130,000 euros.
According to the police, in all accidents, the cause of the accident was inappropriate speed, given the adverse weather conditions with heavy rain and aquaplaning.
In all cases, those responsible for the accident will soon be faced with a three-digit fine and a point in the Flensburg traffic offenders file.
Guardian Angel on board
There were two crashes
in the Münsing area
.
A 45-year-old from Fürstenfeldbruck drove around 6:55 p.m. with a BMW X83 on the A95 in the direction of Garmisch.
Immediately after the Wolfratshausen junction, his car skidded.
In doing so, he first hit the right-hand crash barrier, spun and then spun against the center crash barrier, where he came to a halt.
The driver and his three young children "apparently had several guardian angels and were unharmed," police said.
The no longer roadworthy BMW, which suffered damage of at least 10,000 euros, had to be towed away.
The damage to the two crash barriers affected is around 3,000 euros.
Next accident a few meters away
At about the same time, another accident occurred only about 500 meters away.
A 53-year-old man from the Weilheim-Schongau district left the road to the right with his Audi Q3 and crashed into the guardrail there several times before the vehicle was thrown back onto the road.
The engine block tore and one wheel was torn off along with the suspension.
In addition, several vehicle parts flew around, so that a VW Golf, which was driving in the opposite lane at the same time and was being driven by a 65-year-old man from Günzburg, was hit in the front area.
While the Audi was no longer roadworthy and had to be towed away (damage around 45,000 euros), the Golf (front damage of around 8,000 eurosa) was still roadworthy.
The Golf driver was unharmed.
The Audi driver and his two passengers (52 and 13 years old), all three of whom had been taken to a hospital as a precaution for closer examination, were ultimately uninjured.
Highway closed for a long time
Ultimately, the A95 was completely closed in the area of the two accident sites for around six hours for road cleaning and rescue work.
In addition to the two patrols of the traffic police in Weilheim, the fire brigades from Wolfratshausen and Münsing were on site with numerous emergency services;
as well as the Starnberg motorway maintenance department and several members of the rescue service and emergency doctors.
