Al-Khatib: Syria is keen to defend the Palestinian cause, international law and human values

New Delhi, SANA- The Syrian Ambassador to India, Dr. Bassam Al-Khatib, affirmed Syria’s keenness to defend human values.

The Syrian Ambassador to India, Dr. Bassam Al-Khatib, affirmed Syria's keenness to defend human values, international law, and just causes, especially the Palestinian cause, and its support for the efforts of the (ALCO) organization, which deals with issues of great importance within the framework of international law, and expresses solidarity among the peoples of India. Asia and Africa.

Al-Khatib said at the 60th annual session of the Asian-African Legal Consultative Organization (ALCO), held in the Indian capital, New Delhi: “The Palestinian issue will remain the main Syrian issue, and Syria’s position is firm in its defense of the Palestinian people’s right to defend their land and their sanctities, and to restore it.” All his legitimate rights, especially his right to establish his independent state on his land, with Jerusalem as its capital.

Dr. Al-Khatib denounced the systematic Israeli attacks against Syria, the practices of the Israeli occupation authorities towards our people in the occupied Syrian Golan, and their continued provocative practices, and their violations of international legitimacy resolutions, including UN Security Council Resolution No. 497 of 1981, stressing Syria's adherence to its right to fully restore The Syrian Arab Golan has been occupied since June 1967.
