The Criminal Security Center in the Salamiyah area of Hama arrested a gang engaged in theft and drug abuse.
The Ministry of Interior stated in a statement that SANA received a copy of today that the Criminal Security Center in the Salamiyah area in Hama countryside managed to arrest three people, who had engaged in theft and drug abuse, and one of them was found in possession of an unlicensed military pistol that was confiscated.
The ministry confirmed that by interrogating the arrested, they confessed that they had formed a gang that engaged in theft and carrying weapons in the city of Salamiyah and its countryside, and that they had committed more than fifty incidents of theft of homes, farms, electric cables, generators, car batteries and fuel from cars parked in the streets of the city.
The ministry pointed out that the arrested confessed to using narcotic substances, and by checking their status, several requests and radio stations for several crimes were found against one of them.
The ministry indicated that the necessary measures have been taken against the arrested, and they will be brought to the competent judiciary.
