All the family members - including the father Tiziano, the mother Silvia - accompanied the coffin into the church.
Also waiting for her are the mayors of Barbara, San Lorenzo in Campo and Castelleone di Suasa, with the banners of Barbara and San Lorenzo held up by local police agents and the firefighters on 'picket' in front of the church entrance.

the mother Silvia, the father Tiziano, and all the family members, entrusted the last farewell to the child, 8 years old,

Mattia was with his mother Silvia, on that cursed evening of September 15: in the car they were overwhelmed by the flood of Nevola, Silvia survived while the child was dragged away and the body was found 8 days later in a field in Trecastelli.
