The death toll from a ferry capsize in Bangladesh yesterday has risen to 50, while 40 people are still missing, and the search is underway.
And local media in Bangladesh reported that the ferry that capsized and sank in the Karatoya River in the north of the country was carrying about 90 people, noting that search and rescue operations are continuing to find the missing.
The latest toll reported by the Bangladeshi authorities for the victims of the sinking of the ferry yesterday showed the death of 40 people and the loss of dozens.
