Breathe a sigh of relief at TSV Gernlinden: After nine months, the club has been able to lease its sports restaurant again.
Gernlinden – From Saturday, October 1st, Marius Dobai and Ionut Baranescu will open the restaurant – under the name “Transilvania Gernlinden”.
The two new hosts already have experience.
For five years they have been running the sports restaurant "Tansilvania" of the RW Birkenhof in Bergkirchen (Dachau district).
After the guests of the club restaurant were spoiled with Greek specialties in addition to the Bavarian cuisine in the past, they can now look forward to dishes from the Balkan cuisine.
Of course, the Bavarian specialties are not neglected either, as the new tenants assure.
TSV Gernlinden: In-house
For nine months, the TSV ran the restaurant on its own as a makeshift solution.
You had to apply for a concession for this, reports TSV President Gabriele Plutka.
After 15 years, the Greek club manager Ilija Patajac retired.
The search for a suitable successor proved difficult.

The association used the time to thoroughly restructure the economy.
The sanitary facilities were renewed and the restaurant got a new coat of paint.
In between, the restaurant was opened again and again.
"In order not to lose our many local associations, such as the gardening association or some regulars' tables," said third chairman Rudolf Bader.
President Plutka worked as a part-time landlady, so to speak.
"In addition to the catering for the clubs and our meetings, the bar operation at the footballers' home games and smaller events, our 75th club anniversary also fell in the middle of the year during this time."
TSV Gernlinden: Agreed quickly
Even these short opening times were important for the Gernlinden clubs, since the community center has been closed for a year and a half.
"Otherwise there is no other location in Gernlinden with the space available," says Plutka.
She is all the more pleased "that TSV has found new tenants with the two Romanians and that our restaurant will once again have a social focus in our club life."
TSV Gernlinden: Concept from Bergkirchen
Marius Dobai and Ionut Baranescu became aware of the TSV Gernlinden restaurant through an online advertisement.
Agreement was reached relatively quickly on the lease agreement.
This will initially run for one year, with an option to extend.
The two new innkeepers want to implement the successful concept they practiced in Bergkirchen in Gernlinden as well: a high-quality public restaurant during the week and a pure sports restaurant at the weekend for the sporting events.
They are also happy when the restaurant is used for private parties, company parties and other events.
The opening hours are Tuesday to Friday from 3 p.m. to 11 p.m., Saturday and Sunday from 12 p.m. to midnight, closed on Mondays.
