Great joy at the Brucker Brett'l: The popular amateur theater is the winner of the 2021 sponsorship prize awarded by the Fürstenfeld cultural association. The actors thanked the award ceremony with a short appearance by the young talent group.

Fürstenfeldbruck – It wasn't the first award for the Brett'l, but it was the first award ceremony that could take place live on stage in a long time.

"After the Corona period, that's really good," said the club's chairman, Carolin Danke.

"Mia san totally proud."

The jury selected Brett'l as the winner from twelve suggestions.

"It meets all the criteria - voluntary commitment, promotion of young talent, artistic and content-related quality and connection to the district," said cultural association chairman Manfred Vögele at the award ceremony in the small hall of the event forum.

In her laudation, his deputy Karin Schleicher placed the Brett'l as a "very lively Bavarian people's theater" in a row with the Komödienstadel and the Chiemgauer Volkstheater.

With great commitment and a lot of acting talent, the amateur theater delivers "the best entertainment in the best pub atmosphere".

Schleicher showed how well that was received with an impressive number.

No fewer than 130,000 spectators have seen the Brett'l performances since 1975. In the early days, these took place in the Marthabräuhalle - or in the inner courtyard of Fürstenfeld as an open-air theatre.

The props store was located where the town hall is today.

The association, which has 275 members, has had its own domicile since 1981.

At that time, a stable in Biburg was converted into a Brett'l barn on their own initiative.

A loyal audience amuses itself there in spring and autumn with ever new comedies.

In the run-up to Christmas, however, the stage belongs to the little clouds.

The 30-person junior group of Brett'ls is at least as enthusiastic about it as the adult performers - perhaps also because plays are developed together and written specifically for children and young people by the team of authors.

The Wölkchen gave a taste of this year's piece at the culture award ceremony as a surprise at the end of the evening.

They played themselves - a hilarious, somewhat chaotic theater group developing and rehearsing a new play.

16th Awards Ceremony

It was the 16th time that the cultural association presented its 2005 culture promotion prize, which was endowed with 1,000 euros.

Last year, the tradition had to be paused due to the pandemic.

People and institutions from the district are honored who have rendered outstanding services through special cultural achievements in the fields of fine and performing arts, literature, music, home care or the organization of cultural events.

The cultural association is happy to offer exceptional young artists from the region a stage as part of the award ceremony.

This year it was Florian Wagner from Olching who delighted the audience on the accordion.

At the age of 16, the young virtuoso has already received numerous awards.

This year he was the national winner in his age group in the "Jugend musiziert" competition.

new piece

And the Brucker Brett'l is already in the final spurt of rehearsals.

The new play "The Naked Madness" celebrates its premiere on the weekend of October 7th to 9th.

Tickets and other dates are available on the website www.bruckbrettl.de.
