The President of Catalonia, Pierre Aragones, announced today that the region is putting pressure on the Spanish government;
To reach a new agreement on the organization of a binding referendum on independence, and the recognition of the territory by Madrid and the international community.
"I am presenting a comprehensive proposal addressed to all democrats, regardless of whether they support Catalan independence or not, a proposal that meets international requirements," TASS quoted Aragones as saying.
He considered that the truth is that the vast majority of Catalans today want to decide the future of the country by voting in a referendum.
