As-Suwayda - Sana
This evening, the performances of the Sixth Suwayda Theater Festival continued on the stage of the Palace of Culture in the city, with the play “Closed Windows” written and directed by Thaer Hudifa.
Over the course of an hour, the show tried to reflect, in spoken language, humanitarian situations resulting from the repercussions of the war on the Syrian people, including suffering, pain, migration, death, loss, and others, with an emphasis on hope for the future.
The show was followed by a critical dialogue session about it, in which a number of the participants saw that the show presented a theatrical gap in which it was lively and visually aesthetic, and achieved astonishment, carrying many connotations and symbols, and reflecting the energy of the desire to live and self-realization through the monologues of its characters, through a great effort at the level of directing, acting performance and employing scenography. and lighting.
Imad Heneidy, Hassan Raslan, Firas Hatem, Haneen Al-Baini, Thaer Al-Hanawi, Maher Al-Shaar, Amani Abu Assaf, Tamam Abdel-Malik, Sham Areej, Miliana Abu Hassoun, Inas Al-Ghouthani and Samer Azzam participated in the performance of the roles of the play.
The festival, which is organized by the Directorate of Theaters and Music, the National Theater Department in Sweida and the Directorate of Culture in the governorate, will conclude its activities next Friday by announcing the results of the festival’s competition for the best performance, directing, actor, actress, lighting, decoration, music, and a special jury award.
