Despite the significantly increasing number of cases, Baden-Württemberg does not want to tighten its measures against the corona pandemic.
On Tuesday in Stuttgart, the cabinet passed a new Corona regulation, according to which the regulations currently in force in the state will largely be retained from October and only adapted to the new federal infection protection law.
Stuttgart – Accordingly, there will be no mask requirement in restaurants and shops in the southwest for the time being.
Health Minister Manne Lucha (Greens) recently announced further rules should the infection situation deteriorate significantly in autumn and winter.
The seven-day incidence was 273.6 on Monday, compared to 187.1 in the previous week.
In Germany, certain mask and test requirements against Corona will apply again in autumn and winter.
This provides for new federal rules on how to deal with the pandemic.
A mask requirement applies nationwide in long-distance trains, clinics and medical practices.
Countries can also reintroduce the wearing of masks in restaurants and other indoor spaces.
There should be no more lockdowns, company or school closures.
Baden-Württemberg's Prime Minister Winfried Kretschmann (Greens) announced a week ago that he saw the country in the "transition from the pandemic to the endemic".
There is currently no risk of the clinics being overwhelmed, since the new Omikron variants are contagious but do not lead to serious illnesses.
This means that he can switch "from the "caution team" to the "liberalization team".
“In the event of an endemic, people are responsible for themselves again.
We are in that phase.” dpa
