Former Slovak Prime Minister Robert Festo described the sanctions imposed by the West on Russia as "futile and absurd", stressing that they harm Europeans more than they harm Russia.
In an interview with the Hungarian TV channel Her, Festo criticized the countries that send weapons to Ukraine, stressing that "some cannot claim that they want to bring peace to Ukraine and at the same time send more weapons to it."
Festo stressed that a large part of the world views the war in Ukraine differently from the view of the European Union and the United States, stressing that "whoever sends weapons to it is in practice prolonging the war in it."
