The actress went to the Bottega Veneta Spring/Summer 2023 show in Milan on Saturday, September 24, with a brand new hair look: a wavy platinum blonde bob with a side parting.
"Kirsten wanted a change and hadn't had her hair cut in a while," the hairstylist behind the look, Marcus Francis, confides in an interview with American magazine

, "We were thinking of touching up her bangs, but as she had recently done during Oscar time, we suggested cutting her hair shorter."
Finally, Kirsten opted for this bob without half measures, abandoning her mid-length cut: “It is the shortest hair” that she has worn for more than 17 years, reports the hairstylist who unveiled photos of the final result on Instagram.

This transformation happened step by step.
Prior to this drastic cut, "Kirsten's length was below the collarbone first — [what] we both defined as 'safe length,'" Marcus Francis explains in the interview.
