Israel vs. Russia: We will not recognize the results of the referendum for the annexation of the occupied territories in Ukraine

After the reports according to which Putin is expected to announce the annexation of the occupied territories in Ukraine to Russia, the Israeli Foreign Ministry aligned itself with the position of the United States and other Western countries. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs announced this evening (Tuesday) that Israel recognizes the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Ukraine, and will not recognize the results of the referendums that Russia is holding in the eastern regions of Ukraine.
