Last Friday (23rd), a serious car accident occurred at around 6 am in Pat Heung. A 70-year-old surnamed Su was riding a bicycle along Kam Tin Highway towards Pat Heung. He was hit by a truck while passing Kam Tin Highway No. 188.
He suffered multiple head and body injuries and fell into a coma. He was taken to Tuen Mun Hospital by ambulance for treatment. After staying in the hospital for 4 days, he died at 2:56 pm today (26th).
After the incident, the driver of the lorry was suspicious and ran away. At about 12:00 noon on the same day, the police called "Dangerous driving causing serious bodily harm to others", "No stopping after a traffic accident" and "No parking after a traffic accident" in Tuen Mun District. The 64-year-old surnamed Xie male driver involved in the case was arrested and the truck involved was detained for further investigation.
