At Cologne/Bonn Airport, Cologne Customs discovered drugs en masse.

Among other things, so much cocaine was discovered that it would have been enough for 50,000 people.

Cologne – Among thieves you would probably call it “fat loot”: At Cologne/Bonn Airport, Cologne Customs has received around 114 kilograms of marijuana, almost eleven kilograms of cocaine, around 16 kilograms of ketamine and almost 2.7 kilograms of crystal meth in the past twelve weeks , more than eight kilograms of amphetamine, more than 2.2 kilograms of hashish, more than 1.3 kilograms of heroin and more than 8,300 ecstasy pills in packages in Cologne.

Some of the drugs were strangely disguised, reports 24RHEIN.

At Cologne/Bonn Airport: Customs discovered masses of drugs

  • 114 kilograms of marijuana

  • eleven kilograms of cocaine

  • 16 kilograms of ketamine

  • 2.7 kilograms of crystal meth

  • eight kilograms of amphetamine

  • 2.2 kilograms of hashish

  • 1.3 kilograms of heroin

  • 8300 ecstasy pills

For reasons of investigative tactics, no further details on routes can be given.

“Particularly remarkable was the seizure of five kilograms of high-purity cocaine, which was pressed very flat and painted for camouflage.

The amount of these cocaine pictures alone would have resulted in a single dose for as many people as fit in the sold-out stadium of 1. FC Köln," explains Jens Ahland, spokesman for the main customs office in Cologne.

What is meant, of course, is the RheinEnergie Stadium in Müngersdorf, which is known to hold 50,000 people when the house is sold out.

Cologne/Bonn Airport: cocaine as painted pictures, crystal meth in books, hashish in children's toys

"Cocaine disguised as paintings and mashed potatoes, heroin and crystal meth hidden in books and hashish hidden between children's toys are good examples of the daily challenge not to be fooled by the appearance or presentation of the packages and their contents," says Ahland.

All drug consignments were checked by customs as part of the fight against international drug smuggling on their way through Cologne/Bonn Airport.
