Prime Minister Winfried Kretschmann reacted angrily to the Green Youth's criticism of the country's asylum policy.
He could not accept such attacks, they had no basis, said the Green politician on Tuesday in Stuttgart.
Since the beginning of the war of aggression, the country has granted refuge to 128,000 people from Ukraine alone.
Stuttgart – Now the country is reaching its capacity limits.
In such a situation, making a "frontal attack" on the state government's refugee policy was "absurd," said the head of government in the direction of his own party's youth organization.
The state and citizenry have done a lot for the reception and care of the refugees.
Kretschmann said he could handle it when the Green Youth criticized him - this wasn't the first time it had happened.
What doesn't work at all, however, are insulting attacks on the authorities, which he must resolutely reject.
The choice of words by the Green Youth is unacceptable, said the Prime Minister.
At the state party conference of the Southwest Greens at the weekend, the Green Youth described the state government's asylum and migration policy as "catastrophic", especially with regard to the deportation practice.
The youth organization had criticized that the state government was hiding behind individual ministries - "or behind the disgusting department of the regional council in Karlsruhe" that organized the deportations.
