In times of crisis, it becomes very clear: the fire brigades must be well equipped in order to be able to provide optimal help.

Nörting has now got a new vehicle.

Nörting

– The mayor of Kirchdorf, Uwe Gerlsbeck, is certain: "District fire brigades must remain efficient." In order to continue to guarantee this level of performance, Kirchdorf financed a vehicle for the Nörtinger Floriansjünger - namely a portable pump vehicle logistics (TSF-L) with all the trimmings .

The new fire engine was inaugurated last Sunday.

"If you look at the old vehicle and now the new one - that's a huge difference," said Gerlsbeck after the ceremonial blessing of the vehicle by Father Abraham.

The 30-year-old fire brigade Mercedes can finally retire, because its successor has been ready for action in the Nörtinger Halle since August.

Purchases for the fire brigade are indeed a municipal duty, as the mayor explained, but one thing applies here for Kirchdorf: “If we can afford a little more, then we will do it too!” Because the money is currently not quite available due to various crises sitting so loosely, the Florian disciples would have caught a "very good time window" with their desire for a new car in 2019.

(By the way: everything from the region is now also available in our regular Freising newsletter.)

According to Gerlsbeck, the district fire brigades in particular are a fundamental part of emergency security, which must also be well equipped, for example for flood events.

"We know what we have in you," was the praise from the mayor.

District Fire Councilor Manfred Danner was also very relieved that the vehicle could still be purchased for the Nörtinger Wehr.

"Such vehicles are ideal for us because the load can be changed," says Danner, who recalled the need for well-equipped fire brigades in the face of increasing natural disasters.

Thanks to Rudi Firlus

The desire for a new, high-performance vehicle germinated in 2019, as the first commander of the FFW Nörting, Florian Bichlmeier, remembered.

At that time, the Wehr from Haag came to them with a new vehicle, about which Bichlmeier had thought one thing above all: "What a giant cart - that would also be something for us!" After tenders and discussions with the municipality, it went Order for a new purchase to Görlitz – where a delegation then traveled to discuss all interior design wishes on site.

In August the time had come - after a 20-hour drive home, the TSF-L finally arrived in Nörting.

Bichlmaier, as well as Gerlsbeck, expressed special thanks to the former commander Rudi Firlus, who had gotten the cause of the fire engine rolling.

After lunch in the marquee, the numerous visitors were able to take a close look at the new fire engine.

The rough data: It has 210 horsepower, four-wheel drive and space for six Florian's disciples.

The TSF-L is equipped, among other things, with a 600-liter water tank, an emergency power unit, more than a thousand meters of hoses and a Callies high-pressure extinguisher, which the Florian disciples bought out of their own pockets.

To celebrate the day, the comrades from Allershausen also turned up in the afternoon - with their turntable ladder, which became a magnet for visitors.

Only Gerlsbeck didn't want to aim high: "No, a mayor doesn't have to do everything!"
