Beginning by asking the question "who" rather than the question "what", I wanted to privilege the investigative work, quasi-ethnographic, on the "extremists" and the "extremized", on the beliefs and arguments of accusers and defendants.

What do outspoken anti-extremists say, think and do?

And how do the pointed out "extremists" react?

These are the two preliminary questions.

I thus made the choice of a pluralistic and perspectivist approach, taking my distance from the vain attempts to begin by defining the essence of the phenomenon...
