Holzkirchen

– Fortunately, a 62-year-old from Holzkirchen was spared worse injuries, the accident on Monday afternoon (September 26) in the center of Holzkirchen initially looked worse than feared.

A 63-year-old woman from Dietramszell, apparently not in full possession of her physical strength, overlooked the man as she drove on Münchner Strasse from Oskar-von-Miller-Platz towards the market square.

As reported by the police, the 63-year-old was driving her VW on Münchner Straße at around 2:15 p.m. from the north in the direction of Marktplatz.

At house number 3, the man from Holzkirchner had just got out of his VW bus, which was parked alongside in the parking bay there.

He was just closing the door on the driver's side when he was overlooked by the VW driver and hit him.

The vehicle hit the 62-year-old, who fell to the ground and passed out briefly.

A motorist stopped and helped the injured man get up.

The helper brought Holzkirchner to the adjacent sidewalk.

Police said the injuries were not severe enough to require a trip to the hospital.

The 63-year-old Dietramszellerin stopped a few meters later on the right-hand side of the road.

She herself was unharmed.

When the accident was recorded, the police found that the woman's health was probably not in a position to sit behind the wheel of a car.

Criminal proceedings were initiated against the woman for endangering road traffic due to physical defects.

Her driver's license was confiscated.

The police estimate the total damage to property at around 530 euros.
