Skytrax chose the best at the World Airline Awards.

The English company Skytrax has been honoring the best airlines in the world with the World Airline Awards since 1999 - they are considered the "Oscars of the aviation industry".

To this end, the management consultancy conducts annual surveys on more than 350 airlines.

It is rated by air travelers from all over the world in 49 categories.

The best airlines 2022 in the Skytrax ranking

Qatar Airways has been named Airline of the Year for the seventh time in a row.

"The 'World's Best Airline 2022' award is a great recognition of Qatar Airways' high standards and recognizes the hard work and dedication of everyone at the airline to keep customers happy," said Skytrax's Edward Plaisted of the recognition.

Qatar was the largest airline to fly continuously during the corona pandemic.

As in the previous year, second place goes to Singapore Airlines.

Emirates secured third place.

Great leaps were made by Turkish Airlines (from 17th to 7th place), Korean Air (from 22nd to 9th place) and Swiss (from 18th to 10th place).

The only German airline to make it into the top 20 is Lufthansa: this year it came in 15th, down two places compared to last year.

These other awards were given to airlines

Skytrax also presented numerous other awards this year.

For example, Turkish Airlines was named the best airline in Europe.

Singapore Airlines, on the other hand, was again able to secure the title for the best cabin crew.

According to the Skytrax ranking, Qatar Airways has the best business class and Emirates is the best way to fly economy.

Here, too, Turkish Airlines was able to skim off.
