After the adoption, by the European Parliament, of the Digital Market Act and Digital Services Act texts, supposed to bring order to the "Far West" of the Internet, the Council of State is looking into the right way to manage social networks.
More than four billion individuals are connected to it, at the rate of 145 minutes per person per day on average.
In the mouth of the judges of the supreme administrative court, it is a question of creating
“a powerful regulation”,
at the height of the actors, in particular American, who dominate this part of the digital.
"In a logic of efficiency, it will be up to the European Commission to regulate the largest operators, while the Member States will do so for the smaller ones"
, specifies State Councilor Fabien Raynaud, who led this mission.
