The Latino who won the $27 million prize at the SuperLotto Plus lottery in Ventura County, California, already knows where he will invest his money.
And no, he is not into frills.
After learning that he had won the jackpot ticket, Silvestre Zarate said that he will use it for the
"necessary things"
of his life and that the rest will be given to his daughter, "for her education, college and her future." according to the ABC 7 chain.

Zarate chose the lump-sum cash option and will receive $15.2 million, net of federal taxes.
“I am very grateful for this award,” he said, saying that when he saw on the news that someone had won the award and he looked at his ticket, he couldn't believe it.
"
I almost passed
out," he told the California Lottery.

Zarate had bought the ticket in July, at a liquor store located in the Californian city of Oxnard, where he went to buy a cold drink and was encouraged to try his luck, since he
played the lottery only occasionally.
SuperLotto Plus draws are held twice a week: Wednesdays and Saturdays.
