The writer Omaima Ibrahim considers the folk tale a part of peoples' memory, and a carrier of the prevailing cultural and social values in the era in which it was told.
Literary Ibrahim, in her lecture today at the Homs branch of the Arab Writers Union, elaborated on the folk tale and its importance, as she indicated that it is a literary work that is transmitted orally from generation to generation, in addition to being part of the people’s culture, expressing aspects of their material, mental and spiritual heritage.
She explained that the human being was able, through the tale, to convey all his perceptions, beliefs, habits, experiences and experiences in life, and to present them in a style and structure of tight stories.

Regarding its importance in the lives of peoples, Ibrahim, who is the head of the Homs branch of the Writers Union, indicated that the tale was a summary of the experiences of peoples, including our wishes and pains, and summarized in it a lot of their cultural and moral heritage, indicating that this art, like other arts, is in the hands of those who use it. What glorifies courage, science, and work, urges doing good, sacrifice and self-denial, and calls for justice, mercy, self-defense and the homeland.
The storyteller Saukoon Shaheen explained that the tale is an important part of the educational process. It makes the child feel the importance of the word, and leads him with kindness and tenderness to a permanent search.
