A hooked tree branch today (Tuesday) hit two pedestrians in Tel Aviv, on Iidat Katovitch Street in the north of the city.
MDA medics and paramedics provided medical treatment and evacuated to Ichilov Hospital an 80-year-old woman and a 40-year-old woman in mild condition and fully conscious with bruises on their limbs.
MDA medics Shlomo Levy and Ben Bar Ze'ev who arrived on the scene on motorcycles said: "We saw the large branch that had collapsed, part of it was still attached to the tree and the other part was on the sidewalk.
Nearby we saw two women who were conscious with bruises on their limbs.
They told us that they were walking in the street and suddenly they were injured by the branch that fell.

"We made sure that there were no people trapped under the branch and we gave them initial medical treatment in the field and evacuated them in an MDA ambulance to the hospital when their condition was minor.
The women could have been hurt very badly and miraculously the incident did not end in a worse way."
