A promising experience in the field of plastic art presented by the young Youssef Amer from the Shahba area in Sweida, which reflects his talent, artistic sense and passion for the world of painting, which accompanies him in various details of his life.
Youssef mentioned during his speech to the SANA Youth Bulletin that his relatively recent experience is a reflection of his latent talent, the features of which began since his childhood, where he used to draw with passion at school and at home, sometimes accompanied by a sketchbook during play times.
And he indicated that after ten years he spent among the white materials, he discovered that his drawings bear his own imprint in terms of thought and application using the pencil only. His knowledge and the support of the plastic artist Imad Al-Naddaf helped him to use oil colors exclusively, so that his first works encouraged him to apply to achieve more as well as transforming What he accomplished with a pencil towards oil coloring.
Today, Youssef relies on surrealist painting as an artistic style in which he found closeness to his personality. In essence, he focuses on clarifying the wild thoughts of the subconscious mind, in addition to his ability to complete many paintings in a short time, in what is known as rapid drawing.
Three group exhibitions in As-Suwayda Governorate, in which the young artist participated during the past and current years, accompanied by the artists of the “Shahba Plastic Gathering”, formed an incentive for him to work more to convey all his feelings, feelings and ideas to others through each painting he accomplished.
In front of Youssef's ambitions to deliver his art to a wide range, the state of inner peace he is experiencing emerges with his attempt, through his paintings, to simulate the recipient and debate his mind and conscience, believing that art was and will remain food for the soul.
According to the plastic artist Imad Al-Naddaf, Youssef represents an emerging artistic experience of a professional nature that can be developed further, reviewing how he started with the realistic style of drawing until he gradually developed and his paintings carried a deep intellectual dimension, noting also his excellence in formulating colors and the presence of the strength of shadow and light in his paintings.
