4 militants killed in a security operation in northern Afghanistan

Afghan security forces announced the elimination of four militants in Takhar province in the north of the country.

And Xinhua quoted provincial police spokesman Abdul Mobin Safi as saying: The security forces launched a security operation in the Al-Sayyad area in the Shall district at dawn yesterday, during which they were able to eliminate four armed men and confiscate their weapons.

Safi indicated that no security personnel were injured in the operation.

One person was killed and three others were injured in an explosion in the northern province of Badakhshan last Sunday.
