A fire broke out today (Wednesday) in a forest near Kiryat Shmona.
19 crews and eight firefighting aircraft are currently working in the field to gain control of the fire.
Hikers who were staying in the forest near Menara cliff near Kiryat Shmona were evacuated from the place.
Additional volunteers from KKL-Junk, the Nature and Parks Authority and the Upper Galilee Regional Council are assisting in efforts to put out the fire. This is a very extensive fire that moves on several fronts.

Yesterday, an extensive fire broke out between Khokhok beach and Ginosar beach in the Sea of Galilee.
The fire fighters from five fire teams with the help of four planes operated in several sectors and protected the nursing home in Hakok.
Due to the heavy smoke, hikers were evacuated from the grove and the beach.
