Russia's ambassador to Washington, Anatoly Antonov, said: "The United States is approaching a dangerous edge by talking about the permissibility of Kyiv's use of Western weapons in the bombing of Donetsk, Lugansk, Kherson and Zaporozhye provinces."
The Russia Today website quoted the Russian ambassador as saying in a statement in response to the announcement by US Secretary of State Anthony Blinken, “The United States does not oppose the Ukrainian army’s use of Western weapons in areas that may join Russia. The neo-Nazi sponsors are approaching that dangerous edge that we have warned of many times.” Clearly and precisely, we are seeing the United States becoming a party to the Ukraine conflict.”
Antonov pointed out that Washington urges the Kyiv authorities to continue using Western weapons and does not realize the seriousness of these actions, considering that diplomatic efforts to find a peaceful solution to the crisis cannot be effective, while the collective West uses the Kyiv regime as a military mercenary against Russia, stressing that our steps are to defend the homeland. She will be firm and decisive.
