Black, American Indian and Alaska Native women die more during pregnancy, study finds

Most deaths in the US among pregnant women and new mothers are preventable, says a report from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.

That report found that Black, American Indian, and Alaska Native women are two to three times more likely to die from a pregnancy-related cause than white women.
