The Medical and Health Bureau announced tonight (28th) that community vaccination centers in various districts will provide free seasonal influenza vaccination services to Hong Kong residents aged 50 or above who are vaccinated against the new crown from October 6th.
Eligible persons can make appointments from tomorrow (29th).

Hong Kong residents aged 50 or above can make an appointment to receive the new crown vaccine and flu vaccine at the same time from September 29. The picture shows the list of community vaccination centers.

The scientific committee under the Centre for Health Protection of the Department of Health reached a consensus in August this year that the new crown vaccine can be given at the same time as other vaccines including influenza vaccine.
Community vaccination centers in various districts will allow Hong Kong residents aged 50 or above who have been vaccinated against the new crown to choose to receive flu vaccines for free at the same time from October 6.
Eligible persons can make an appointment for influenza vaccination at the same time as their appointment for the new crown vaccination through the appointment system of the COVID-19 vaccination programme starting from 9:00 a.m. tomorrow.
Eligible persons can also choose to receive the flu vaccine for free at the same time when they are vaccinated against the new crown from October 6.

The general public's immunity to influenza is expected to be low
A Government spokesman said that the winter influenza season is approaching and the local seasonal influenza activity has been at a low level since February 2020. The overall immunity of Hong Kong people to influenza is currently low.
The government strongly urges the public to complete the recommended dose of the new crown vaccine and the new season of influenza vaccine as soon as possible, so that they can get better protection if they are infected with COVID-19 and influenza at the same time.
