The Chairman of the Elections Committee this evening (Wednesday) rejected Amichai Shikli's candidacy in the Likud party. The reason: Shikli did not resign close to the time he was announced as retiring, and continued to vote against his faction.
The Likud responded: "We see this absurd decision as a serious damage to democracy - we will appeal to the Supreme Court."
