The scouts from the Staufen Erding tribe are celebrating their building, which has been standing for ten years.

With the construction of the clubhouse, they fulfilled a dream.

Erding – A decade ago the dream of the Erdinger scout tribe Staufen of their own club home came true.

This has now been duly celebrated on site in Schollbach.

Dirk Ressel, chairman of the circle of friends, remembered: “In the beginning we only planned with two containers.

Today there is a great building here that only a few scout tribes have available.” It wasn't easy.

Several times one was broke during the construction phase.

"But we pulled through and did most of it ourselves, from the excavation pit to completion." Even showers are available to the Boy Scouts today, and the more than 70 members of the tribe founded in 2009 feel really comfortable there.

The building is 200 square meters and stands on an area of 6000 square meters.

There, the scouts can set up up to nine tents for 90 people to spend the night outdoors: "You have a lot of space here," says Ressel happily: "We didn't set it all up for the circle of friends, but for the scouts."

The deputy tribal leader Michelle Zeischka enthused: "We are here with each other and in harmony with nature." There are regular group lessons in and around the main building, as well as weekend and day programs.

"We accept everyone here as they are and put a lot of love into scout life," emphasized Zeischka.

You can join the Boy Scouts at the age of six, at the latest by the age of 25 it's over and at best you'll switch to the Circle of Friends.

Mayor Max Gotz was surprised "that the house has been there for ten years".

He praised the trusting cooperation with the club and emphasized: "You have created a home here with a lot of personal effort that is second to none."

During construction, the association demonstrated sustainability.

Many materials came from the former evangelical parish home and were used by the scouts for their building.

"Generations are brought together here," said Gotz happily, and he had a request: "Show your warmth in the families during these difficult times.

It takes people who are optimistic about the future.” The words of Zeischka fit this: “We are there for each other and help with problems of any kind.”

The large area on the B 388 near Schollbach offers plenty of space that is also open to other users.

The Bund Naturschutz offers some fun holiday activities there and even wants to create a biotope.

The European champion in long archery trains there with Joachim Geyer, and a beekeeper takes care of his six beehives.

Finally, Zeischka emphasized: “For us scouts, this is like a second family.

We're incredibly happy with our homeland.” She doesn't know of any other tribe that has such a large building and such an expansive outdoor space.
