Master hairdresser Marion Neumeier closes her business, which she took over from her parents Erich and Susi Neumeier in 2006.
They "inherited" the business from the Huber family in 1969, where Erich Neumeier once started as a foreman.
Huber's predecessors, the Müller family, were hairdressers, remembers Marion Neumeier.
"We liked being here, but now it's a new time," she says.
"We survived the pandemic, but not its change: eleven hairdressing stations with one or two temporary workers, that's not possible," she cites one reason for her decision to close the large salon on the beautiful tower.
At the same time, she announces: "Nevertheless, it's going on: at Färbergasse 6a." She will be welcoming her customers at her new address from Tuesday next week.
Neumeier remembers: “I was allowed to be at the Schönen Turm since 1969, childhood and youth, right in the middle.
After many decades in the barber shop, my parents and I could fill books with memories - often with a smile.

Quite a few said: a dream team.”
Marion Neumeier and many customers also remember Anneliese Siebler, who worked in the company for more than five decades - most recently for a few hours every Friday.
That's how she was in the shop on the day it closed, when every customer got a rose.
It was also Siebler who sent Marion Neumeier “for a snack when she was five years old, but I didn’t come back until hours later.
Dunscheberge and the neighboring Pointner family were more important,” she recalls with a smile.
The small barber shop belongs to the town of Erding, which thanks Neumeier for the good cooperation over the decades.
It is not yet clear how the building will be used in the future.
City spokesman Christian Wanninger announces a feasibility study for the entire beautiful tower.
In addition to the hairdresser's hut, it will also include the Ratsstube, which has not been used for gastronomy for years and is empty.
