Extensive room fire in Gröbenzell: three people saved from the balcony

Gröbenzell – The Gröbenzell fire brigade was alerted to an extensive room fire in Mittenwaldenstraße on September 28 at 1:24 a.m.
"When the emergency services arrived, parts of the ground floor and the stairs up to the second floor were fully engulfed in fire," says Christian Weirauch from the Gröbenzell fire brigade.
Three people
fled from the smoke and flames onto a
balcony .
The task forces brought them to safety
via
ladders .
Two young men had gotten themselves to safety from the ground floor.
"All were transported to the hospital by the rescue service with
smoke
inhalation," continues Christian Weirauch.
The two neighboring terraced houses were evacuated as a precaution, and the residents were able to return after the extinguishing work.
However, the affected house is uninhabitable.
The police have launched an investigation into the cause of the fire.
