Police officers were targeted by fireworks mortars and around twenty vehicles were burned during the night of Tuesday September 27 to Wednesday September 28 in Alençon, according to the parquet floor of the Norman city.
The facts occurred between 11 p.m. and 2 a.m. in the Perseigne district, the public prosecutor of Alençon, Lætitia Mirande, told AFP.
At the end of October 2021, similar events occurred in this popular district of Alençon (26,000 inhabitants): thirteen vehicles had been set on fire.
According to the mayor of Alençon Joaquim Pueyo, during the night from Tuesday to Wednesday, police officers from outside Alençon had to intervene as reinforcements.
