The Directorate of Internal Trade and Consumer Protection in Homs Governorate seized several bakeries in the Al-Muhajireen and Al-Midan neighborhoods in the city of Homs and the village of Zaidal with violations related to the production and packaging of low-weight and poorly made bread, and the violators were fined 1.520 million Syrian pounds.
Engineer Rami Al-Youssef, director of internal trade and consumer protection in Homs, told SANA reporter that a bread official was also arrested for violating the transportation of bread without plastic baskets.
Al-Yousef indicated that the seizures also included a butchery for violating the meat of a female Awassi slaughtered outside slaughterhouses, 33 commercial activities with violations of issuing irregular invoices and selling at an excessive price, in addition to closing 14 commercial activities with various violations.
