Although Erich was on stage almost every day, Elfriede Seyfried "didn't get bored".
The marriage of the Neufahrn couple has lasted for 60 years, and now it has been celebrated.
Neufahrn
– She appreciates that he is "always funny and cheerful, and never grumpy", he appreciates "simply everything" about her.
And those were obviously the best prerequisites for Elfriede and Erich Seyfried's marriage to last 60 years.
On September 14, the two celebrated their diamond wedding anniversary, and on Tuesday the community and district congratulated them.
The two met at a dance in Milbertshofen
Even if both feel comfortable and at home in Neufahrn after 43 years, they are and will remain natives of Milbertshofen.
They met there when Erich played drums in a band and they danced to his music.
"That's where I got stuck," says Elfriede Seyfried.
The two have a son and a daughter, meanwhile three “grandboys”.
She was drawn to Neufahrn because it was "simply cheaper" here, Erich Seyfried recalls.
Of course, the daily commute to Munich, where the Seyfrieds have run stationery shops for decades, was a challenge.
In 1983, however, a lot changed in the couple's life: Erich, already a passionate actor, joined "Peter Steiner's Theaterstadl" and then made a career on the theater stage and on television.
In 1998 he founded "'s Bavarian Podium" with two colleagues before retiring to private life in 2005.
So Erich was on the road a lot, he was on stage practically every day.
"You get used to it," says his wife Elfriede.
She had her business, the house and the children.
"I wasn't bored" - especially not because
“Except for Australia and Greece” the Seyfrieds have actually been everywhere
What connects the two is travel: "We've been practically everywhere - except in Australia and Greece," says Elfriede Seyfried.
They have been to Tenerife particularly often.
When they are at home, they like to go on cycling holidays, sometimes spontaneously, on e-bikes for a few years now.
"It keeps you young and is fun," the 79-year-old and the 82-year-old agree.
They don't know boredom: Erich Seyfried regularly goes to the fitness studio and to a morning pint, as Elfriede adds, likes to organize meetings and parties ("I can organize").
Elfriede Seyfried likes to go on “girls’ vacations”, as she usually calls trips to Turkey with friends.

They share another passion: Skip-Bo – a card game that they indulge in two to three hours a day.
And of course it's all about winning.
The points are recorded for a month, at the end of the month the winner chooses a restaurant to which the loser has to take him.
They prefer all that to television.
What is a good movie?
"We're very tricky there."
