The low-emissions mobility zone must be extended from 2024. The opposition denounces a “hold-up in the wallet of the inhabitants”.

On September 15, Anne-Sophie Frigout, RN deputy for Marne, tabled a bill to remove low mobility emission zones (ZFE-m), these portions of cities where the most polluting vehicles are prohibited.

For several weeks, the subject has also stirred public debate in Lyon.

After the September ban on Crit'Air 5 vehicles in the city and part of its immediate outskirts, the green metropolis is taking a new step in setting up its ZFE, which is imposed by the climate and resilience law on all conurbations of more than 150,000 inhabitants to improve air quality there.

Monday, September 26, the extension of the perimeter was on the agenda of the metropolitan council.
