On Tuesday, Danish and Swedish authorities said the Nord Stream 1 and 2 gas pipelines, linking Russia to Germany, had been affected by unexplained leaks in the Baltic Sea the day before.

According to Danish Prime Minister Mette Frederiksen, there is no doubt that these are “deliberate acts”.

However, the inspections will only be possible within “one or two weeks”, estimated one of his ministers, in particular because of the vast boilings caused by the escape of the gas.

In the meantime, all eyes are on Moscow, which is waging a war on Ukraine – which is causing strong tensions with Europe, in particular – but denies the accusations.

This Wednesday, the Russian General Prosecutor's Office even announced the opening of an investigation for "act of international terrorism".
